Award Winning Chili!
Jenny's recipe won Spring Arbor's 2014 Chili Cookoff!

Shawn's on the left, I'm on the right, and the lovely lady in the center of the photo is Jenny. She makes award-winning chili. The annoying thing about this recipe is that she made it up on the spot.
I helped her make chili at an event once. She gave me the job of cutting onions. I cried all morning and she thought it was hilarious. We've been friends our whole lives. I used to pick on her when were were kids, now she's my boss. Whoops!

Spring Arbor's 2014 Chili Cook-off Winning Recipe by Jenny Hatley


1 lb ground chorizo
1 lb ground beef
can of diced tomatoes
can of pintos
can of black beans
onion, chopped
garlic clove, minced
palm-full of chili powder

Brown meats with onion. Add garlic for 1 minute when done. Add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer. Eat immediately or let simmer until you're ready for it. Enjoy!
