Pork Fat Back Fat Back (by the pound)

For old fashioned southern flavor, choose fatback! Ours is skinless and unsalted, so you can control the level of sodium according to your taste-buds. Use to season veggies or render to make a high quality cooking lard (this will have a pork flavor, unlike our leaf fat). Tasty when making fried potatoes and you want a golden crisp bite. This also goes great in killed lettuce. The packages vary in thickness and streaky meat. If you are looking for a particular attribute, let us know and we will do our best, but we can't guarantee. If you are looking for a simpler option for cooking fat, you can try our kettle-rendered leaf fat.

This fat is prized for baking because of it's clean flavor. This comes from around the kidneys of the pig, so it won't taste like pork. If you want to render this yourself it will produce cracklins for you. We do have some leaf fat already rendered if you want the premium cooking oil, but don't have the time to render yourself.

This is $4.66 per pound. The packages vary in weight, but we'll do our best to give you a package that is nearest to the amount you order. If the package is less than what you ordered, we will adjust the price.
